This walk is easy and varied but rather long (can be done in a day, but also in stages). It will take you through Alpine pastures and forests with a magnificent panorama from the top point of the Beauregard mountain. (Starting point- Chapelle du Parc 1030m: Vertical incline- 1000m: Highest point- Pointe de Beauregard 1643m)

How to get there: From La Clusaz, take the Staint-Jean de Sixt road for 300m. There is a small car park on the right side of the road. Walking Route: From the car park, for the original walk do not take the lane that goes up above the chapel, but carry on

for 100m and take the first lane that is suitable for vehicles which runs alongside the quarry. A little further on, quite a steep uphill track joins the col des Mouilles route, after running alongside the cliffs that overlook the forest. Go as far as the col des Mouilles. A track leads to les Frasses, then follow the road as far as the Confins lake. Walk about 100m beyond the chapel and turn right along the footpath that goes around the lake. Beyond the lake, go to the bottom of the Balme coombe then the cret du Merle. Go down the road for 300m then take the lane on the left that leads to the route du col des Aravis and follow it for 100m.

To the right of the chalet, the lane follows the Etale mountainside as far as les Prises (cross over the route du col de la Croix Fry). The lane climbs uphill through the woods and alpine pastures to reach the pointe de Beauregard (cable car). Go down the northern mountainside until you get to the path that runs by the chalet de La Patton. The path carries on downhill and leads you back to La Clusaz, then take the road back to the chapelle du parc car park.
